What this covers
This policy covers NextDayReel applications, host accounts, wedding galleries, guest uploads, and the messages we send to operate those services.
What we collect
When someone applies, we collect the name, email, wedding date, city, role, and optional function details submitted in the form. Hosts provide account, wedding, event, and co-host details needed to set up and manage a gallery.
Guests may provide a display name, family side, photos, videos, captions, and capture dates. Uploaded photos and videos usually show other people; the host and their guests are responsible for uploading only what they are allowed to share, and anyone who appears in an upload can ask us or the host to remove it. We also keep limited technical details needed to route uploads, prevent abuse, recover queued uploads, and keep a guest connected to their own uploads through the wedding week.
Vercel Web Analytics gives us aggregated visit and referral information so we can understand which pages lead to applications. We do not use it to sell personal profiles or advertising audiences.
Why we use it
We use this information to reply to applications, create and operate wedding galleries, route uploads to the right event, let hosts moderate media, prepare exports and reels, send service messages, protect the service, and answer access or deletion requests. We do not sell personal information.
Who helps us run the service
Supabase provides database and host authentication services. Cloudflare R2 stores wedding media. Vercel hosts the application and provides web analytics. Resend delivers application and service emails. These providers process data for us to operate NextDayReel. Some processing may take place outside Canada. We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep a guest connected to their own uploads and to keep hosts signed in; there are no advertising cookies.
QR links, privacy, and moderation
A shared QR link proves that someone has the link, not who they are. Open-event links may let anyone with the link upload and view the moderated gallery. A private event uses a separate secret link and may also use a PIN. Hosts and approved co-hosts can approve, hide, or remove uploads and can limit what guests see.
How long we keep it
Active gallery hosting is included for 12 months after the wedding. Before the hosting window closes, we will prompt the host to export the originals. After those warnings, gallery media is scheduled for deletion. Limited backups and security records may remain for a short period while systems cycle or where law requires us to keep them.
Application details are kept while we are discussing a booking and for a limited period afterward for service, security, and record-keeping needs. We review information that no longer serves a clear purpose and delete or anonymize it.
Your choices
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, withdraw consent where applicable, or ask us to remove a guest upload. Hosts can request a full export and deletion of a wedding gallery. If a child appears in media and you are their parent or guardian, you can ask us to review and remove it.
Email hello@nextdayreel.com with the wedding name, event, and enough detail to locate the item. We may need to verify the request before changing or releasing information. NextDayReel is based in British Columbia, Canada; if you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Security and changes
We use access controls, signed links, limited credentials, and other reasonable safeguards. No online service can promise perfect security. We may update this policy as the product changes and will post the new date here.
